Hakataramea Valley Wines is located in the beautiful, rugged Hakataramea Valley, South Island, New Zealand. 

It is situated on the banks of the Hakataramea River, which is renowned for its fly fishing, and is approximately 70 kms inland from Oamaru, Southwest of Christchurch (a 4 hour drive ) or 250 kms from Queenstown (a 3 hour drive via Cromwell or Wanaka.

 The vineyard is part of a 780 hectare Merino and Santa Gertrudis Stud farm.  The  Hakataramea River runs through the property allowing for diversification in the harsh valley conditions.
